Special processing and anti-condensation systems for metal sheets

Special processing

Notching

The nothces are designed and executed to allow a correct absorption of the material stresses due to deformation, without loss of rigidity of the trapezoidal element.

Notching can be concentrated on one or more parts of the length, giving rise to particular shapes mixed curved/straight or with irrregular bending.

Calendering

Constant radius curved sheets are mainly used in the creation of roofing on metal structures and prefabricated Y-shaped tiles.

Vertical calendering

This process allows the constant radius curvature of straight sheets to be carried out with wide developments and with a profile of H 28 and H 40.

Maxifold

This process, performed on a bending machine with a special shaped die, produces a single tranversal fold on the trapezoidal sheet wit han angle greater than or equal to 89°.

“Control Drop” System

The effective and safe system to reduce the effects of condensation on metal roofs.

What is condensation?
When the temperature and humidity reach the dew point, the moisture condenses on the underside of the metal sheets, forming water droplets that, if in significant quantities, fall to the ground, damaging everything under the covering.

About “Control Drop”
“Control drop” is a special adhesive fabric applied to the inside of the sheets during the profiling process.

How it works
The material with which “Control drop” is made allows to “capture” part of the condensation particles, absorbing them until the atmospheric conditions fall below the dew point, limiting any dripping (in compliance with UNI 10372 standard).

Installation information

“Control drop” is applied to the underside of the sheets in order to follow the normal techniques for laying metal roofs.

However, during the construction of the roof, it is necessary to observe some precautions to avoid the phenomenon of rising capillary damp.

Particular attention should be paid to the overlaps:

1. The “Control drop” pad is not present on the overlap side as shown in the drawing.

2. On the header overlaps and/or on the lower part of the sheet near the eaves line the pad must be removed as shown in the drawing below.
